My heart races when I think about the future that the convergence of artificial intelligence and new materials science will bring. It is a great honor to join AI Star at this pivotal moment and take on new challenges in the field of AI-based new materials.

As a professor at KAIST's Department of Materials Science and Engineering, I have led research on AI-integrated new materials, including materials design, molecular modeling, and machine learning-based prediction models. I have served as the principal investigator for the KAIST MII research and as the head of numerous collaborative projects involving industry, academia, and research institutions, leading active collaborations and technology transfers with various domestic and international companies and research institutes.

Based on this experience, I feel a great sense of responsibility and mission as I now take on the role of promoting even more innovative new materials R&D at AI Star.

AI Star aims to lead a paradigm shift in materials development through its AI-based new materials platform. As the CSO, I am responsible for a wide range of roles, from establishing the company's technology strategy to refining data science-based materials prediction models and advising on the direction of R&D.
